Despite having areas of stunning coastline and beautiful countryside, few people think of Wirral for a day out. We were asked to create a brand campaign to drive more day-trippers to Wirral and help them navigate between the many tourist attractions in the area.
A campaign name – Wirral Peninsula – was developed to act as a unifying label for a diverse set of ‘countryside and coast’ attractions. Illustrations, by local artist Simon Birtall, were used in place of photography. The timeless and chic feel of the brand was carried through to the tone of voice, with itineraries grouped into packages with evocative storybook titles, such as, ‘A stroll to the lighthouse’, and ‘Ice cream by the sea’.
